1. Who we are
The SEO Metrics Snapshot browser extension and the related services (together, the "Service") are operated by Netbase Media Ltd (Netbase Media Kft.), a company registered in Hungary, with its seat in 2141 Csömör, Pest, Hungary ("we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What the Service is
SEO Metrics Snapshot is a Chrome extension that displays search-engine-optimisation metrics for the page you are visiting, including domain and page authority estimates, backlink figures, on-page audits, structured-data checks and social previews. Authority and backlink metrics are sourced from third-party data providers.
3. Acceptance of these terms
By installing the extension, using the free tier, or purchasing a paid plan, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
4. Accounts and anonymous identifiers
The Service does not require registration. Your installation is identified by an anonymous identifier generated by the extension, together with technical signals (such as a browser fingerprint and a hashed IP address) used to enforce usage limits fairly. Usage allowances are tied to these identifiers: reinstalling the extension does not reset your allowance. If you purchase a plan and later reinstall your browser or extension, use the "Restore Purchase" option on the pricing page or contact support.
5. Free tier and fair use
- The free tier currently includes 10 analyses per week per user. The weekly allowance resets each Monday.
- To keep the free tier available for everyone, usage is counted across all installations that share the same browser or network identifiers. Attempts to circumvent limits (e.g. repeated reinstalls, automated requests, identifier spoofing) may lead to reduced limits or termination of access.
- We may change the size or conditions of the free tier at any time.
6. Paid plans and billing
- Paid plans provide larger weekly allowances as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details.
- Subscription plans renew automatically (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period already started, and you keep your plan benefits until then.
- Prices may change; changes never affect a period you have already paid for. For subscriptions we will inform you before a price change applies to your renewal.
7. Founding Lifetime plan
The Founding Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase that grants 250 analyses per week for the lifetime of the Service — no renewals and no recurring fees. "Lifetime" means the period during which we operate the Service; it is not tied to your lifetime or to a fixed number of years. If we permanently discontinue the Service within 12 months of your purchase, we will refund the purchase price on request.
8. Refunds and right of withdrawal
- If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services within 14 days without giving a reason, unless the service has been fully performed with your prior express consent.
- To exercise withdrawal or request a refund, email [email protected] from any address and include the purchase receipt (Stripe emails one automatically).
- Beyond statutory rights, refund requests are assessed case by case in good faith — if the Service did not work for you, tell us and we will make it right.
9. Third-party data — no guarantee of accuracy
Authority scores, backlink counts and similar metrics are estimates produced by third-party providers and are offered for information only. We do not warrant their accuracy, completeness or timeliness, and they are not advice. Search engines do not publish these values; all figures are third-party approximations. Occasionally a provider may be unavailable — analyses that return no data because of a provider outage are not charged against your allowance.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- access the Service's backend interfaces other than through the extension;
- use automation, scripts or bulk tooling to perform analyses;
- resell, sublicense or share plan allowances outside your own organisation;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
11. Availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted operation, and we may modify features over time. We may suspend the Service for maintenance or for reasons beyond our reasonable control.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or EUR 50 if you use only the free tier). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for intentional misconduct or damage to life, limb or health.
13. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms, including the acceptable-use and fair-use rules. If we terminate a paid plan without such a violation, we will refund the unused part of the current period (for subscriptions) or a fair pro-rated amount (for lifetime purchases made within the previous 12 months).
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. For material changes affecting paid plans we will provide notice (for example on the pricing page or by email where available) before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Privacy
Details of the data we process and your rights are described in our Privacy Policy. In short: the Service works without registration, identifies installations pseudonymously, and stores IP addresses only in hashed form.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of protections granted by the mandatory rules of the country where you live. We encourage you to contact [email protected] first — most issues are resolved within a few days.
